Hi Dottie, here are some examples of Turd Polishing as I see it:

* The CBS Evening News with Katie Couric

* Mike Huckabee's dramatic weight loss

* All those desperately discounted full-page ads in The Morning Call lately

Re: Al Gore..."I invented the internet"

[Loud Buzzer Sound Effect] ooh, sorry, anon 1/10 8:50 am, you're not grasping the "Turd Polishing" concept and Al Gore never said "I invented the internet." Here's a sample example of real Turd Polishing for you ...

* Fox News, Fair & Balanced

Gore did say it, I saw it on TV. Also with your comment about Fox news... "that depends on what the definition of is is" Bill Clinton

"that depends on what the definition of is is" Bill Clinton"

Judges ... ? okay, we'll allow this one ...

I still think "polishing the Turd" would be a great name for Damien Brown's blog. But we don't require truth in advertising on blogs.

After watching the Republican debate last night, and hearing Rudy Guliani repeating "that's absurd" over and over again in response to Ron Paul (the only realist who speaks the truth) I think Guliani gets a golden turd award for his performance, along with Fred Thompson, in a supporting role.

many people want to pick on Damian. What is so bad about a little good news?????

There is nothing wrong with a little good news. There are two local blogs devoted to it, plus the Queen City Daily blog at the MC that reports on store openings, events, and celebrations etc. in Allentown. Blogs that raise questions should not be viewed as focusing on bad news.
