Have you heard the news that Michelle Obama's mom Marian Robinson may be moving in to the White House? I think it would be great to have a "first Grandma." The photo I have posted shows Barack Obama sitting with his mother in law, relaxing and holding hands, so it looks like he won't mind the "mother-in-law" being around.This photo was taken while they were awaiting the election results.
Grandma will be there to take care of the two young Obama girls, instead of a nanny. Now here are some real family values to admire.

I have heard that the girls really adore their grandma. She will keep the kids well grounded. I think it's great!
Most Americans can't afford a Nanny, kudos to the Obama's for eschewing one.

I agree. In an interview Marian said that it's hard for her not to spoil the girls, but Michelle has some strict rules that she must follow.
I would think that having their grandmother there to help them through this huge transition will be very comforting for the girls.
I can't imagine how excited and nervous they must feel about leaving their home and moving to another city - to live in the White House no less!
I love the idea of multi-generational households. The girls will get a unique perspective from their grandmother and they will keep her young at heart.
