Dear Ms. Unangst:

Upon receiving and reading your letter to me dated October 20, 2011, I was immediately struck by the misrepresentation that was perpetrated on me by Judge Steinberg and you. In phone conversations with you on January 20, 2011, and with Judge Steinberg on February 25, 2011, I was told by both of you that Judge Steinberg had "requested permission" from an unnamed authoritative board regarding meeting with me.

As it turns out, the authoritative board is an advisory committee that is co-chaired by a Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas colleague of Judge Steinberg’s, Judge Edward D. Reibman, who has in the past quashed information access on behalf of Lehigh County District Attorney James B. Martin, see IN RE: CHARLES CULLEN LITIGATION, NO. 2005-C-3330.

UpDate: In a 12/7/11 letter to me from Judge Steinberg's law clerk, Ramma Barakat, Barakat claims that at the time of Judge Steinberg's "inquiry" to the advisory committee, Judge Steinberg's Lehigh County colleague, Judge Edward D. Reibman, was "Chair, Zone 2." In their 12/7/11 letter, Barakat and Steinberg do not address any of the other points or requests in my letter(s) dated 11/26/11 and 12/5/11 so I'll be sending more letters to Judge Steinberg [see below] requesting an in-person meeting with him to discuss the Chris Squires DUI homicide case, its curious, and unilateral, night before trial bargain plea deal, and what appears to be subsequent cover-up collusion involving DA Jim Martin and then Morning Call reporter (and current DA Jim Martin Executive Aide), Debbie Garlicki.

Although I perceive Judge Steinberg’s decision to not meet with me as a similar stonewalling tactic designed to quash information access and shield DA Jim Martin (and himself) from scrutiny regarding the prosecution and sentencing of my daughter Sheena’s killer, Robert Edward LaBarre, I will honor Judge Steinberg’s decision to not meet with me, for now, but I will re-commence requesting an in-person meeting with him at a later date, when all probation and parole inquiries to Judge Steinberg regarding Robert Edward LaBarre have been resolved.

In the meantime, I am now requesting an in-person meeting with Judge Steinberg to discuss a DUI homicide case that is already closed, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania v. Christopher Stephen Squires, Docket Number: CP-39-CR-0005610-2006, and I will of course restrict my communication with Judge Steinberg to this case, and to this case only, when we meet.

Let me know Judge Steinberg’s answer, and FYI, I will perceive an answer of "Mr. Villa has 'no standing' in this case" as another stonewalling tactic designed to quash the truth from getting out.

Also, please advise Judge Steinberg that I am taking my verifiably factual findings of favoritism and collusion regarding the prosecution and sentencing of DUIs and DUI homicides in Lehigh County to objective media and publishers far beyond the protective and cooperative, crony-colluding media bubble of the Lehigh Valley, and that I will not stop until my inconvenient facts, and its colluding players, are exposed to a national audience.

In closing, I am totally receptive to being shown by Judge Steinberg where and why my findings of favoritism and collusion may be faulty, or outright wrong, which could be best communicated during an in-person meeting.

Conversely, continuing to stonewall me will make it look like Judge Steinberg is quashing the truth and shielding DA Jim Martin, and himself.

DA Jim Martin's re-election would not have been possible without the countless and priceless collusions of The Morning Call "newspaper" [w/ a dishonorable mention to "reporter" Kevin Amerman] and the Dick Dean-owned 69 "News."

The profound shame is how The Morning Call "newspaper" and 69 "News" keep cheerleading for Jim Martin, never questioning him, never challenging him, and never publishing anything negative about him without preemptively adding a Martin-helpful excuse. After 14 years of Jim Martin truth concealing, they've succeeded in comprehensively bamboozling the "Super Voters" who re-elected Jim Martin on Tuesday. LVS can't see anybody ever running against Jim Martin again. It's seemingly impossible to beat the crony-crooked combination of Good Ol' Boy dough, the local lapdog media monopoly in his back pocket, and 28,000 media-bamboozled Super Voters. In a direct mail flyer sent out recently, Lehigh County District Attorney (for now) Jim Martin deceptively takes personal credit for "60,000" prosecutions and further deceives recipients w/ a phony "97%" conviction rate claim. In doing so, dim bulb DA Jim (hiccup) Martin inadvertently admits to blowing 1,800 prosecutions (3% of 60,000 = 1,800), so far, during his stumble-bum reign as DA. Here's a case Martin blew. Here's another one. Here's another one. And according to Jimbo there are 1,797 more DA Jim Martin losses where criminal defendants walked. Thanks for sharing, Jim.

Readers, as you can see by clicking on and enlarging this post's revealing photo, Lehigh County District Attorney (for now) Jim Martin (left) was not pleased to see me in attendance at his Guest Speaker gig at the West End Youth Center on Tuesday evening. Right before I snapped this picture, all-bark no-bite Jim Martin barked at me, "Don't take my picture, Villa!" I told DA Martin that I was actually taking Republican judicial candidate Doug Reichley's photograph (that's Doug Reichley event-crashing and vote-pandering on the right) and that I would crop him (Martin) out of the picture "just like the voters will crop you out on November 8." Pow! The crowd roared. Sort of. Actually, some dizzy duped dunce dame seated to my right motioned to me while saying to Martin, "We can have him thrown out." To which Martin snorted, "We just may do that," and he motioned to a policeman standing guard behind his estimated 500+ pound girth. I counter-punched back at DA Martin, saying, "on what legal grounds would you have me thrown out, Jim?" Bully Martin seemed flustered by my directly in-his-face challenge question, so he socio-pathologically lied, "I didn't say that." "You don't need any grounds, do you Jim," I upper-cutted Martin and snapped his head back in my direction. "You do pretty much anything you want around here, isn't that right, Jim?" Pussy DA Jim Martin back-pedaled, and flailed, wildly,"Villa, I'm not going to debate you at this forum here tonight!" To which I grinned broadly and calmly back at Martin and said, "Oh I know, Jim, you wouldn't debate me anywhere."

And that ended the pre-fight 'trash talk' segment of our debate which was still ringing in Martin's swollen red ears when he was introduced moments later to the crowd of about 25 all white people, and mostly skittish seniors, by the President of "The West Watch Neighborhood Group," Pam Palmer (pamp@thewestwatch.org).

Evoking both Broderick Crawford and Foster Brooks, Martin blustered and staggered his way into an obviously canned, very stale, and bone dull boring recitation of what a district attorney does ("first there's a crime, then there's an arrest," Zzzz) while strongly implying that in Lehigh County, only He can do the job. Foolishly, and recklessly, punch drunk DA Jim Martin did not edit out (on the fly, say for my benefit) this part of his memorized rote speech:

"I don't mind being interrupted by on-topic questions." -DA Jim Martin

Oopsie. My first debate haymaker came flying seconds later when Martin tried to brag about a "97% conviction rate." I told those assembled that after watching DA Martin for the past 5 years, "it's obvious to anyone paying attention that DA Jim Martin routinely takes the easiest (for him) route possible to a conviction, and that easiest route is "Bargain" Plea Deals w/ Criminals, and that his "97%" conviction rate column was filled, mostly, with these kinds of "bargain" plea deals, and as such, "97%" is a highly deceptive "conviction rate" percentage and wouldn't you agree with me on this, Mr. Martin?"Astutely not taking the bait, Martin disagreed w/ me and said, stumblingly,"Sometimes you uh have to settle for uh half a loaf," to which the dizzy duped dunce dame to my right nodded her head up and down enthusiastically (not Parkinson's I don't think) and mouthed to Martin, basically, "good answer."

That we set the bar so (hiccup) shamefully low for our elected officials in Lehigh County should also be sadly obvious to anyone paying attention but I digress.

At this juncture, DA Martin attempted to introduce me to the crowd. Martin brayed that, "Mr. Villa has a vendetta against me for not charging third degree murder against the guy who killed his daughter" and that "Mr. Villa has been libeling me for 5 years."

At this juncture, I stood up .. and told the crowd that DA Jim Martin had "just made an outrageous accusation in claiming libel," and then turning to Martin I said to him,"Jim, you're the District Attorney (for now), if I'm LIBELING you, why don't you file charges against me?" Pusillanimously, so only the hearing aids in row 1 could hear it, Martin muttered,"One day, Villa, civil suit, one day." DA Martin then tried to continue slandering me to the crowd so I started walking toward the front of the room while saying, "Jim, if you're going to tell this crowd about me, I'm going to tell them a few things about you, so I'm coming up there to join you ..."

Well. Allentown's finest was on me faster than an Allentown City Council Facts & Truth about Michael Donovan Muzzling. With The West Watch's President Pam Palmer screeching for my ouster by the policeman, and an attendee behind me hissing "get lost," and nobody in the crowd of 25 sheep protesting or questioning why I was being physically ejected for merely asking questions that DA Jim Martin had just invited ... something quite unexpected, but most welcome, happened next.

One person made a difference.

Paul Krempasky, the President of the West End Youth Center (where I've assistant-coached my rifle arm son Gianni's baseball team the past 2 seasons), spoke up from his perch on a bar stool in the back of the room. Krempasky basically told Martin's goon squad cop that his strong-arm tactics were premature and inappropriate and that I should be allowed to speak, from my seat. As the 25 sheep in the room watched, I released myself from the policeman's grip (and a likely handcuffed and railroaded ride to Lehigh County Prison) and returned to my seat where I continued to mop the fuckin' floor w/ crooked and incompetent DA Jim Martin.

First, I told the crowd that a charge of third degree murder for my daughter Sheena's killer would have been appropriate. Then, I insisted that Martin tell the crowd who the father of the guy who killed my daughter is (Gross McGinley attorney Don LaBarre) and what law firm Martin chose recently (Gross McGinley) to defend him in a court action, out of all the law firms in Allentown he could have chosen. Reluctantly, but obediently, Big Bad Jim owned up to the glaringly obvious crony connection. The room got so quiet the guy behind me stopped hissing at me to "get lost."

Side Note: DA Martin developed a noticeable facial tic when I referred to The Morning Call "newspaper" as "your press agent."

FYI: The Morning Call's longtime law firm is Gross McGinley and if a Gross McGinley lawyer's son kills your daughter, please be advised that DA Jim Martin will let him leave the country and go on vacation to Belize, Central America, while out on bail for homicide and helpful Gross McGinley client, The Morning Call "newspaper," won't ever report that. And if you ask them why, they won't answer you, 229 times.

On Martin's topic of "prudent use of taxpayer resources," I figuratively pounded a wobbly Martin senseless all over the ring regarding why he insisted on appealing his "outrageous" Shiatsu Massage Parlor Sex Case all the way to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court (they rejected it too), after having been rejected in Lehigh County Court and Pennsylvania Superior Court.

"Jim, was this a prudent use of taxpayer resources?"

Martin's answer: "Yes, it was."

On Martin's topic of "our good Lehigh County judges, and having a good working relationship with them," to the now mounting interest of the sheep crowd, I noted that "in addition to showing up Judge Steinberg by appealing his rightful rejection of your 'outrageous' sex case all the way to the PA Supreme Court, now you're appealing and showing up Lehigh County Judge Michele Varricchio's ruling against you that Mayor Rick Hoffman, and not you, is the chief law enforcement officer in Macungie. Jim, does this kind of petty and vendetta-driven head butting of our good Lehigh County judges foster having a good working relationship with them?"

Martin, visibly sweating, guffawed nervously at the notion he has a vendetta against any Lehigh County judges but the inconvenient facts indicate otherwise. Read between the lines of Lehigh County Judge James T. Anthony's recent, rare, and very public bitch slapping of DA Jim Martin for Martin's lazy, "bargain" plea deals with criminals. Judge Anthony voiced his incredulousness a second time during his sentencing of one of DA Jim Martin's "bargain" plea deal recipients on April 25, 2011.

I closed in (and knocked Martin out cold) with Michael Eric Ballard, the guy who slit an Allentown man's throat in 1991, killing him, and who DA Jim Martin enabled to knife, and slaughter to death, 4 more innocent people in Northampton last year by failing to respond to a letter from the parole board requesting DA Jim Martin's opinion on whether murderer Michael Eric Ballard was a risk to society or not. Turns out he was. But DA Jim Martin never opened or responded to the memo from the parole board ... so they set Michael Eric Ballard free and he murdered 4 more people.

Trapped like a 500-pound rat, Martin admitted to the crowd that, "Mr. Villa is completely correct about this, there was a breakdown in my office, and we regret that, but we've fixed it, and ... bla bla bla."

I then noted that, time line-wise, while 5-time murderer Michael Eric Ballard was falling through the cracks at DA Jim Martin's office, Martin himself was "cracking up," laughing, while listening to audio recordings of the State Police's paid informant who was "wearing a wire" while enjoying a "smorgasbord of sex" (Judge Steinberg's quote) on 4 different "outrageous" occasions (again, Judge Steinberg's quote) at a Whitehall Shiatsu Sex Massage Parlor, as was reported in The Morning Call. Here's my knockout punch in slo-mo ...

"Ladies and gentlemen, DA Jim Martin was too busy laughing at sex tapes to open and answer his mail."

By now, the vibe in the room felt like some of the 25 sheep had possibly meandered over to my side.

When nobody had any more questions about gang crime that DA Jim Martin could not answer to anyone's satisfaction, The West Watch President/Moderator Pam Palmer actually, and politely, asked me if I had any additional questions.

I said, "I'm finished with Mr. Martin."

After the debate was over, quite unlike unrepentant and remorseless DA Jim Martin sycophants Michael Donovan, and attorney (for now) Dave Najarian, both the guy who had hissed "get lost" at me and the cop who had tried unsuccessfully to muzzle and eject me ... apologized to me.

I appreciated that.

Ditto Paul Krempasky for doing the right thing and making a difference.

Following DA Jim Martin and his gargantuan and gaudy, black & silver Cadillac SUV [PA Lic. Plate # FMN7795] out of the parking lot in my Honda Fit Sport, I noticed that, when turning left or right, Lehigh County District Attorney James B. Martin does not use his turn signals.

On November 8, let's kick Jim "above the law" Martin and his crooked colluding cronies off the throne and out of power.

Glenn Kranzley is the former longtime editorial and opinions editor, and VP, at The Morning Call "newspaper."

These days he's a freelancer who also teaches "journalism" part-time at Lehigh University with Morning Call cronies that include Lehigh U adjunct "journalism" professor Christine (Press Agent for Celebrity Criminals) Schiavo ... Lehigh U adjunct "journalism" professor and "opinion columnist" William "Bill" White ... and Lehigh U "journalism" professor and elusive Morning Call "editor" Wally Trimble [Note: we didn't knock Wally's tooth out.]

Kranzley also moonlights ironically as an "instructor in communications" at Penn State Lehigh Valley.

But in happier times, Glenn G. Kranzley ruled the editorial and opinions roost at The Morning Call w/ a fist as stubbornly inflexible as iron.

Kranzley was especially powerful and influential as a member of the (now disbanded and defunct) Morning Call Editorial Board that annually and magnanimously boasted (in print) of having its:

"welcome mat always out for those who want to be heard." [See: paragraph 4 ]

FYI, I was one of "those who wanted to be heard."

My first born, and only daughter, Sheena Villa, was killed by the son of a prominent Allentown attorney who is a partner in the politically over-connected Allentown law firm, Gross McGinley, that has represented The Morning Call for many years.

I had some questions about the favoritism tactics being employed by sometime Gross McGinley client and Lehigh County District Attorney James B. Martin regarding several cases I had been following closely, in addition to my daughter Sheena's case.

In October 2007, Morning Call Investigations Editor Tim Darragh discussed my questions w/ me over the phone, for two hours, and told me my questions were ...

"excellent questions that deserved to be answered."

Although answers (acquired via Morning Call investigative reporting) would have been nice, at the time I was willing to settle for just discussing my excellent questions with The Morning Call Editorial Board after politely wiping my feet on their extended-to-everyone-else-who-wanted-to-be-heard welcome mat.

But curiously, Kranzley took the welcome mat inside.

In all, Glenn Kranzley rejected 229 polite email requests from me for a "welcome mat" meeting w/ his Editorial Board.

Along the way, Kranzley also rejected numerous outreaches from City and County elected officials questioning him as to why he was denying me a meeting. Incredibly, Kranzley even blew off a gracious offer from then Chairman of the Lehigh County Commissioners, Percy Dougherty, PhD who volunteered to act as a moderator at a "welcome mat" meeting involving The Morning Call Editorial Board and myself.

Kranzley's only communication to me on this was a purposefully inflammatory 2-word email saying, "We'll pass."

Team Martin gatekeeper Kranzley's overt wagon-circling was briefly 'challenged' by the Lehigh Valley blogosphere. Kranzley's response was to invite most of the 'dissenting' bloggers to become affiliated w/ The Morning Call "newspaper" and have their blogs featured on The Morning Call's website. Predictably, all of the publicity-aquiver bloggers' challenging questions stopped immediately and their allied and malicious 'straw party' litigation led by diminutive Morning Call blogger, election loser, and attorney (for now) David C. Najarian started soon after but was ultimately defeated by us in court. Sadly, Morning Call-affiliated malice and harassment against us continues. Ditto DA Jim Martin's Villa Vendetta and The Morning Call purposefully looking the other way on phony trumped-up criminal charges that were rigged against me by DA Jim Martin and Tom Corbett but were ultimately defeated by us in court.

In the two years since Glenn Kranzley's karmatic shit-canning, I've succeeded in answering most of my own excellent questions about DA Jim Martin's tactics ... definitively.

And comprehensively.

[UpDated 9/25/11] Readers, turns out accused drunk driver/cop car crasher Christopher Nobile had a prior DUI on 2/8/05 and a prior (same date) arrest for careless driving and public drunkenness. Q. Did DA Jim Martin, the cops, or the arraigning judge check for priors prior to bailing out and releasing Chris "Crash" Nobile?

Possibly thinking (?) that people who live in glass houses shouldn't (hiccup) throw stones, on Saturday night 9/17/11 local police and DA Jim Martin curiously OK'd granting bail to, and releasing, a Lower Macungie Township man who, driving drunk, had crashed into a police car and then drove off with the cops in hot pursuit, at one point driving the wrong way on Route 100 and forcing other cars off the road, and then resisting arrest and fighting with the police officers who eventually captured him.

Chris Nobile, 43, admitted to the roughed-up cops he had been drinking.

He was charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police, drunk driving, simple assault, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, harassment and accidents involving damage to attended vehicle or property.

Nobile was also charged with a number of traffic violations, including careless driving, reckless driving, driving the wrong way, running stop signs, driving without lights to avoid identification or arrest, failing to stop at a red signal and failing to yield for an emergency vehicle.

He was released after posting just $25,000 bail, i.e., only $2,500 of his own money via bail bondsman.

As mentioned above, defendant Christopher Nobile had a prior DUI on 2/8/05 and a prior (same date) arrest for careless driving and public drunkenness.

Q. Would you or I have been granted the same leniency? On our third offense. It's not likely, and LVS is in the process of trying to find out what makes Chris Nobile so special to DA Jim Martin. Not surprisingly, The Morning Call "newspaper" has no interest in finding out-- that's the distinct impression I got after speaking on the telephone w/ Morning Call "reporter" Manny Gamiz.

Yeow. Readers, FYI, last year, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court refused to even hear a frivolous and vexatious appeal filed by DA Jim Martin that had already been rejected resoundingly by the Pennsylvania Superior Court and Lehigh County Common Pleas Court.

That case involved DA Jim Martin's hardened, wide-stance insistence that he had the ultimate authority to pay undercover informants to have tape recorded sex with prostitute masseuses as many times as he liked.

Lehigh County Judge Robert L. Steinberg disagreed disgustingly and tossed Martin's case out of his sight calling it 'outrageous.'

Frustrated, and engorged, DA Jim Martin then pumped countless taxpayer dollars and county man hours into appealing Judge Steinberg's ruling to the Pennsylvania Superior Court where he lost again. Incredibly, Martin then appealed to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. In refusing to even hear DA Jim Martin's Superior Court ruling appeal, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court basically told DA Jim Martin to take his already twice-tossed Shiatsu sex case and beat it ... and then (presumably) to have a cigarette.

But thanks to LVS's exposé spotlighting of colluding DA Jim Martin and The Morning "newspaper," we successfully forced DA Jim Martin into working over a weekend and filing charges against alleged DUI killer Randy Teets faster than DA Jim Martin has ever done it before (according to our records) ... 34 days. As noted in our Aug 12 post, NorCo DA John Morganelli routinely gets it done in less than a week.

Nevertheless, it was rewarding to see DA Jim Martin admitting on camera to 69 News that it was Randy Teets's drunk driving impairment that killed Katrina Gunkel, watch segment .. same suit again Jim?

Now if only DA Jim Martin could remember to be consistent.

Here's what we mean ...

In April 2008, popular Parkland wrestling coach John Toggas was killed by drunk driver Jennifer Gehringer.

Even though DUI killer Jennifer Gehringer clocked in at nearly twice the legal blood alcohol content limit, DA Jim Martin decreed that beautiful and shapely Jennifer Gehringer's impairment and slowed reflexes couldn't be proven as a factor (?) in John Toggas's death.

Jennifer Gehringer's "sentence" for killing John Toggas while driving drunk? 2 days.

As a "prosecutor," DA Jim Martin is careless, erratic, inconsistent, crooked, wildly dishonest, and (hiccup) incompetent-- and in off-election years, he's a drunk driver's best friend who couldn't care less about the families of DUI homicide victims.

And all of DA Jim Martin's flagrant fuck-ups and sadistic screw jobs are downplayed and frequently flat-out concealed by The Morning Call "newspaper."

LVS has been attempting to get some clarification on all this retroactive alignment from 69 News but the dots are embarrassingly easy to connect. Obviously, 69 News blinked and backed down from their original story, either because of direct pressure from the DA Jim Martin/Tom Corbett/Morning Call/Mal Gross McGinley power cabal, or, on their own, because of a skittish fear of an inevitable retribution pay back of some kind from petty and paranoid bully DA Jim Martin and his crony protectors at The Morning Call. Here in Lehigh County, as of the date of this post, DA Jim Martin has had more than three times that amount of time already ... 25 days ... but still no charges against Randy Teets have been forthcoming.

So how long will it take incumbent, crooked, and incompetent DA Jim Martin to do his job here and file criminal charges against Randy Teets?

Here are The Inconvenient Facts in a nutshell ...

* By law, Pennsylvania judges like Robert L. Steinberg must sentence drunk drivers who kill people to a state mandatory minimum prison sentence of 3 years in a Pennsylvania State Penitentiary for the charge of Vehicular Homicide While DUI.

* The homicidal drunk driver in this case, Joseph M. Hammer, was sentenced to serve around 18+ months in Lehigh County Jail.

Why?

* Because "no nonsense" (?) DA Jim Martin generously (hiccup) plea-bargained away the major charge of Vehicular Homicide While DUI ... and most of the other charges.

Why?

* Because, as The Morning Call helpfully (and skillfully) tells us, the wishes of the victim's family were that they did not want to see their son's killer go to jail.

* This is curiously inconsistent w/ my family's experience. And our wishes. We wanted an appropriately stiff state prison sentence for our daughter Sheena's DUI killer, Robert LaBarre. One that was commensurate with the crime Robert LaBarre committed against Sheena Villa. But DA Jim Martin told me that he did not represent Sheena's family, he represented Lehigh County, and that our wishes were not a factor in the criminal charges he chose to file, and to not file.

* Garcia has been free on unsecured ($0.00) bail and likely free to drive ever since the fatal crash and injury mayhem he caused on November 21, 2009.

* Today, after nearly 2 years, DA Jim Martin helpfully and (hiccup) inexplicably dropped the major charge of felony homicide by vehicle against Garcia.

* By the time Judge Kelly Banach finally sentences Miqueas Rafael Garcia on September 9th for the misdemeanors DA Jim Martin has left on the table, Garcia will have evaded all accountability for killing Lyda Estrada-Davilla for nearly 2 years.

A Forks Township man has admitted to speeding and driving recklessly while drunk last summer, causing a crash that seriously injured his passenger, who police say had warned the driver to slow down.

This happened LAST SUMMER? That's a YEAR ago. Why did it take a YEAR to resolve this case?

Joshua L. Share, 25, who police said was driving more than 100 mph down an Upper Macungie road in June 2010 before crashing, pleaded guilty last week to driving drunk with a blood alcohol level at or above .16 percent — twice the legal limit.

Share pleaded guilty LAST WEEK? Why was there a WEEK DELAY in reporting this?

Share also pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment and four summary offenses for careless driving, speeding, failing to stop at a stop sign and reckless driving.

The two reckless endangerment charges each carry maximum penalties of two years in prison and the DUI charge could land Share in prison for up to a year.

Five years ... yeah, right ... let's see what Joshua Share really gets.

In return for his pleas, the most serious charge against Share — felony aggravated assault while driving drunk — was dropped.

Dropped? Why? Why wouldn't DA Jim Martin THROW THE BOOK at this drunk driver? Why would DA Jim Martin drop the felony aggravated assault charge? Not confident he could convince a jury?

Despite pleas from passenger Joshua Reinert to slow down, police say Share continued speeding and lost control of his car, striking a pole around 8 p.m. June 12 (LAST YEAR) at Arrowhead Lane and Adams Road. The car flipped several times and Reinert suffered vertebrae fractures in his neck and spine, bruised lungs and knee injuries.

This is exactly how my daughter Sheena was killed in 2006, by a drunk driver going 100 mph and ignoring his passenger's pleas to slow down. It's a miracle Joshua Reinert wasn't killed.

Q. When is DA Jim Martin going to send a message to drunk drivers that Lehigh County is not the place where you want to drive drunk.

A. (hiccup) Never.

According to court records:

Berks-Lehigh Regional police arrived after 8:10 p.m. and found a utility pole that had been knocked over, a car on its roof and Share on the road being tended to by paramedics. Reinert had already been transported to the hospital.

A police officer assisting paramedics smelled alcohol on Share, and police requested blood samples be taken at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, where Share and Reinert were treated.

Witnesses said Share and Reinert had left a party in the area moments before the crash. Another witness said Share ran the stop sign before crashing.

Reinert was interviewed later and told police he was concerned about Share's speeding and told him to slow down. Reinert said he also warned Share about the stop sign at Adams Road, but Share never slowed down. He told police Share was not familiar with the roads.

A crash investigation determined that Share was heading east on Arrowhead Lane "at speeds in excess of 100 mph" and became airborne just after crossing Adams Road. When the car landed, Share lost control of the car and it slid before striking and shearing off the utility pole. The car then rolled several times before coming to rest in a field.

Test results showed that Share had a 0.16 blood-alcohol content.

FYI, as DA Jim Martin dragged his flat feet on this case, for a YEAR, Joshua Share has very likely been free to keep driving. Yep. Hopefully, he didn't injure anyone else in the past YEAR.

Share was charged on Aug. 21 (OF LAST YEAR) and released on $50,000 unsecured ($0.00) bail that day.

So it took DA Jim Martin over 2 months, 70 days (from June 12 to August 21 of last YEAR) to even charge Joshua Share w/ a crime. And then it took DA Jim Martin a YEAR to get Joshua Share to approve a bargain plea deal. Incredible.

Over in neighboring Northampton County recently, concerned citizens were rightfully clamoring for DA John Morganelli's head because it took him 7 days after a holiday weekend to file much more complex double homicide charges against former cop and alleged double DUI killer John P. Heaney III.

Share is scheduled to be sentenced next month by Lehigh County Senior Judge Lawrence J. Brenner.

Certainly, Morning Call "reporter" Kevin Amerman knows the date and time of the sentencing, but to protect DA Jim Martin, Judge Brenner, and criminal defendant Joshua Share, Amerman didn't report it. I'll get the date and time tomorrow. [Update: It's August 15, 1:30pm, Courtroom 2B]

And by successfully I mean that the crony-colluding local 'powers that be' (and wanna-be) around here have failed miserably and comprehensively in their concerted efforts to silence me and stop me from exposing DA Jim Martin.

They sure have tried hard though.

They've tried refusing to meet w/ me 229 times and deleting and blocking my comments online at The Morning Call "newspaper" and throughout the Morning Call-affiliated local blogosphere; they've tried defiling my deceased daughter Sheena, enlisting the reciprocative participation of outgoing Allentown City Council Vice President and Cedar Crest College "ethics" professor, W. Michael Donovan; they've tried blatantly spinning and squelching news stories; they've tried trumping up phony/bogus "criminal harassment" charges against me; they've even tried daily cyber stalking harassment of the vilest nature imaginable ... but I always prevail, and kick their asses comprehensively, while this blog's readership keeps growing geometrically.

Will my courageous, relentless, and civic-minded efforts be successful in knocking DA Jim Martin on his fat ass and out of office this November? With the November 8 election fast approaching, it appears that that's exactly what the local 'powers that be' are fearing the most these days: Bill Villa and his Inconvenient Facts on DA Jim Martin and The Morning Call "newspaper" getting out. And it's a delicious paranoia, really. I mean, come on, via special favors and fear factors, "Team Martin" has the local lame stream "media" tucked away crony cozily in its back pocket as they nervously "ignore" (wink wink) all of my verifiably factual exposé reporting on DA Jimbo, hoping to God that the regional or national media doesn't stumble across me and my damaging DA Jim Martin facts on a slow Anthony Weiner or American Idol news day. Cool concept, Patch. They're allegedly supposed to be covering local issues that mainstream daily newspapers in a death spiral can't/won't cover. But from what I've been observing locally, our 11 Lehigh Valley Patch outlets tend to cover pretty much the same news and hypnotic 'shiny objects' The Morning Call covers and even worse fluff the likes of this crap.

News worthily, 5 of our 11 local Patches are headed up by former Morning Call "newspaper" reporter heartthrobs such as Tom DeMartini and Daryl Nerl (other former Morning Callers now reporting and editing at Patch include Mary Ellen Alu, Mariella Savidge, Tom Coombe, and fill-in editor Margie Peterson). On the surface, having shit-canned former Morning Call "newspaper" "reporters" on staff at Patch isn't automatically a bad thing. However ...

If these former Morning Callers turned Patchers are still 'pulling their punches' and protecting the same crooked cronies they shielded from scrutiny while they were Morning Callers, say, in the hopes of one day being re-hired by The Morning Call, or hired directly by DA Jim Martin like Morning Call "reporter" Debbie Garlicki incredulously was, then this is a really, really bad thing.

Sadly, I have smoking gun proof that this is exactly what's going on at Patch, based on what former Morning Call editor and current Patch editor Jerry Brahm perpetrated on me recently.

Let me show you ...

Here's a recent article and comment thread at Patch on DA Jim Martin. As you can see (after enlarging it), it didn't take long for my signed and verifiably factual comments to be countered by the usual anonymous cyber stalker suspects spewing personal attacks, libel, and misdirection. Because I felt this comment thread dramatically exposed not only my case against DA Jim Martin but also the ilk of the "anonymous" cyber stalking sabotage I've been enduring and out-maneuvering for several years, I phoned Patch Lehigh Valley Regional Editor Susan Koomar (left, pictured w/ LVS cyber stalker Bill White) and persuaded her to keep the comment thread up there intact, which she did. Susan and I "agreed" that as an elected official in an election year, DA Jim Martin is fair game; that my inconvenient facts on DA Jim Martin posted in comments at Patch were not repetitive, nor were they spam; and that the anonymous cyber stalker's strategy was to muddy the Patch comment waters w/ off-topic personal attack misdirection so that Patch would delete all the comments in the thread and the anonymous cyber stalker would then achieve his goal of sabotaging and silencing me. At one point during our cordial phone conversation, Susan Koomar suggested that a good way for my comments to not be deleted at Patch would be for me to "buy some ads at Patch." Yep. But when I broke the stony silence after her suggestion by asking, "Are you serious," Susan retreated, giggled, and said, "Just kidding!"

The next day, most of my signed and factual comments had been deleted, while the personal attacks, libel, and misdirection posted by "anonymous Tony" were deemed A-OK to stay up there, have a jaw-dropping look, click here, and thank you "Easton Eddie" for trying to defend me, FYI Eddie's comment was later deleted too.

I of course cried foul to Susan Koomar, requesting that my comments be restored, but still not offering to buy any ads at Patch. Susan handed it off to Jerry Brahm who sent me an email that read in part ...

Bill,
Susan sent me your note and asked me to check on the comments you mentioned were taken off the site. Indeed, I do see that several of your comments, and several others, were removed, but they were removed by other users. Any user can flag a comment on the site as inappropriate, and after three users flag a comment, it is automatically removed from the page. This is a consistent web standard. [BV Note: Really? Where?] I noticed, too, that you also flagged a few comments. I will not return those [i.e., your] comments because they do not add to the discussion of the article ...

Jerry Brahm then left the personal attack, libelous, and misdirecting comments by "anonymous Tony" up there for 2 days, apparently believing those comments were valid and added to the discussion.

I emailed Jerry Brahm ...

Jerry. You cannot be serious. Or expect me to believe your explanation. So let me get this straight ... a block of Patch readers (say for example [Redacted], Bill White, Chris Casey, Jim Martin, Tom De Martini, etc.) can "gang flag" as inappropriate a verifiably factual Patch comment ... and it will be deleted?

Q. What about the libelous personal attack (and now also completely out of context) comments against me that Patch has chosen to keep up there? I'm flagging them as inappropriate but they're still up there. I suppose you'll tell me it's not enough that only the victim finds the comments inappropriate?

Hi Bill,
Yes, if for some reason people want to go to the trouble to coordinate an effort to flag someone's comments, they can do that. I can't imagine why anyone would [BV Note: "wink wink"] but it's possible. Of course, we can also re-post those [i.e., your] comments if we find they are acceptable. That is not the case here ... If you persist ... we will be forced to suspend your account.

In an email to me dated June 17, 2011, Jerry Brahm admitted to deleting all the remaining comments from the thread except one, effectively giving the Team Martin cyber stalkers a crony-cooperatively rigged win. I was muzzled and silenced. For now.

Here's How DA Jim Martin Fixes DUI Homicide Cases for Connected Cronies

Through first-hand experience and investigation, we know of three (3) ways how Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin fixes DUI and DUI homicide cases for crony connected drunk drivers and their families while callously screwing the grief-stricken victim's family. Certainly there could be more ways. But (as a heads up) these are the three ways we know of, just in case you need to outmaneuver DA Jim Martin and The Morning Call "newspaper" to get justice in Lehigh County like we did. Good luck ...

#1. DA Martin bargains for a sentence of "house arrest" (wink wink) and then adds a handy clause that allows the criminal defendant drunk driver perpetrator to leave his or her house any time they want. See page 7, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania v. Judith V. Fulmer. Readers, from what we've been told by insiders, "house arrest" was DA Jim Martin's original plan for my daughter Sheena's crony connected homicidal drunk driver killer, Robert LaBarre. But instead, thanks to many hundreds of letters mailed to DA Jim Martin and Judge Robert Steinberg from Sheena supporters in an election year, we arranged "big house arrest" for Bobby LaBarre-- 5.5 to 12 years in a Pennsylvania State Penitentiary, which pissed off the local powers that be (and wanna-be) major big time. For more jaw-dropping and verifiable facts on the colluding crony blow-back regarding the Villa family's unbroken streak of victories against Jim Martin's power cabal, read DA Jim Martin's shameful vendetta against assertive grieving father Bill Villa.

Editor's Note: In one of the most blatant and shameful abuses of power for political gain that LVS has exposed to date, DA Jim Martin charged Veronica Rohrer with attempted homicide, while the TV cameras were rolling, and for purely political reasons, which he soon secretly withdrew and eventually couldn't get even one greatly reduced charge to stick with a jury. So why wasn't longtime Jim Martin pal Judy (hiccup) Fulmer charged with attempted homicide for nearly killing Jane Baker with her car and fleeing the scene? Food for thought.

#2. DA Jim Martin secretly, and let me repeat that, secretly arranges a guilty plea hearing with the homicidal drunk driver and his or her family but does not inform the grieving victim's family. Then, with no one there in court to protest it, DA Martin drops the major charges and lies to the judge that the (curiously absent) victim's family is in agreement with his bargain plea deal. This is exactly what DA Jim Martin tried to do to my family on February 2, 2007.

DA Martin secretly moved Robert LaBarre's guilty plea hearing up 10 days and purposefully did not inform Sheena's family.

Thankfully, a "Good Samaritan" anonymous phone caller (likely from Lehigh County Courthouse) tipped us off and we crashed the "private" guilty plea hearing in Judge Steinberg's courtroom on Feb 2, 2007 and out-fixed DA Jim Martin. With us there, watching, crooked and incompetent DA Jim Martin couldn't drop any of the charges. #3. DA Martin lies to the grief-stricken victim's family about the homicidal drunk driver's BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) evidence. Martin tells them this, and typically the night before trial: "Bad news. The judge tossed the blood evidence because Lehigh Valley Hospital screwed up the paperwork on the chain of custody on the blood evidence, and without the blood evidence, we have to drop most of the charges."

DA Jim Martin used this case-fix strategy in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania vs. Christopher Stephen Squires, dropping 9 of the 14 charges the night before a trial was scheduled to start. DA Jim Martin, not coincidentally, is longtime friends with the grandfather of Christopher Stephen Squires. We learned this from the grandfather himself, who happens to be a longtime friend of the Villa family as well. He revealed his longtime friendship with DA Jim Martin to Sheena's paternal grandparents in the parking lot of the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena church and we swear on Sheena's ashes to this. He also told my parents he was a guest at DA Jim Martin's invitation-only, swearing-in ceremony in January, 2008. So there's your motive.

The grieving father in the Squires case, Chris Mohney, posted his 11th hour frustration over what he had been told by Chief Deputy DA Renee Smith, the night before trial, in an online comment at The Morning Call's article, and it's still out there (for now) on the internet, see comment #22.

"The Homicide while DUI was "dropped" because the hospital lost or never had the proper paperwork to maintain a chain of custody on the drivers blood. Once that charge was gone there was no plea bargain, Squires simply pled guilty to the balance of the charges. I told the reporter that yesterday when we spoke but she omitted it from the article. I obviously wish the whole truth had been printed. Thanks LVHC" -Chris Mohney, Allentown

Readers, for helpfully not printing the "whole truth" about Lehigh Valley Hospital screwing up the paperwork (and years of similarly helpful service to DA Jim Martin), Morning Call "reporter" Debbie Garlicki was rewarded with a fast-tracked and cushy job as an Executive Aide in DA Jim Martin's office.

Q. Did Lehigh Valley Hospital really screw up the Squires blood evidence?

Shortly after the Chris Mohney comment appeared online, LVS contacted Chris Mohney to confirm that it was indeed he who posted the comment. It was. And over the course of the next year plus, Chris Mohney told us two more shockers.

1. A Lehigh Valley Hospital spokesperson told Chris Mohney there was "nothing inadmissible" about the Squires blood evidence and paperwork the Hospital had turned over to DA Jim Martin's office. Obviously, Renee Smith had lied to Chris Mohney the night before trial and Renee's soon-to-be-new-co-worker (officially) Debbie Garlicki made sure Renee Smith's lie was never printed in the "newspaper" thus covering DA Jim Martin's fat, boozy, and lying ass.

Editor's Note: A local blogger and admitted cyber stalker who claims to have spoken with presiding Judge Robert Steinberg about this case appears to corroborate what Chris Mohney told us about Lehigh Valley Hospital, if the blogger/stalker who has subsequently, and curiously, become one of our most rabid antagonists can be believed (i.e., take it w/ a "grain of salt"), see "Ethics, Morning Call style."

2. Around the same time that Morning Call investigations editor Tim Darragh told me in a lengthy phone conversation that I was raising "excellent questions that deserved to be answered" on the Squires case, and then Morning Call Editorial Board Czar Glenn Kranzley was denying me a "Welcome Mat" meeting for the 229th time ... according to Chris Mohney:

Some Morning Call advertising sales people who had worked w/ Chris Mohney at another company called Chris and told him they were doing really well in ad sales at The Morning Call and encouraged, i.e., recruited Chris to apply for a position that was open.

Guess what, Chris Mohney got the job.

Not surprisingly, after Chris Mohney got a sales job at The Morning Call "newspaper" he stopped returning my phone calls and speaking w/ me. But I didn't connect the dots on this until I happened to stumble across Chris Mohney's name one day among The Morning Call Staff Listings. Talk about your jaw-dropping double-take. Now I understood his radio silence. So I called The Morning Call's Chris Mohney pretending to be a prospective advertiser w/ some excellent questions that deserved to be answered about advertising w/ The Morning Call. I got Chris immediately and he proceeded to tell me this ...

* The Morning Call was not buying his silence (and BTW, Chris immediately volunteered this; I didn't ask him anything along these lines).

* Shortly after he started at "the Call," he was called into the office of one of the "Big Wigs" (he wouldn't specify who it was). Chris was asked (and I'm paraphrasing here), "Would you like us to speak w/ the DA's office about the confusion surrounding the outcome of your perpetrator's guilty plea hearing?" Chris said yes. So now gone "reporter" Matt Birkbeck was dispatched to speak w/ the Deputy DA who had called Chris Mohney the night before trial telling him the "bad news" about Judge Steinberg "tossing" the blood evidence because Lehigh Valley Hospital had fucked up.

* "Reporter" Matt Birkbeck reported back to "Mr. Big" at the "newspaper" and Chris Mohney that Renee Smith was on record as saying that Mr. Mohney had "misunderstood" what she had told him on DA Jim Martin's behalf the night before trial, and that if he wanted to get an attorney and fight it, it would be "her word against his." According to Chris Mohney, "Mr. Big" at The Morning Call sort of shrugged at him as if to say, "Well, we tried, but that's that. Oh well."

Last I heard Chris Mohney had moved back to the Pittsburgh area where he grew up.

Over the course of the year-plus we had been communicating, and always by phone or email, Chris Mohney had scheduled about a half-dozen in-person meetings w/ me. He always canceled them. Re-scheduled them. And canceled them again.

I believe Chris Mohney has "found peace" and is "moving on w/ his life" and I'm positive The Morning Call "newspaper" and DA Jim Martin are thrilled about this. Works out better this way for everyone, right "guys?"

Judge Wanna-Be Adra Renee Smith Plays Fast & Loose w/ Judicial Codes Of Conduct

Lehigh County's 2nd-Best Friend To Drunk Drivers (trailing only her boss DA Jim (hiccup) Martin) is longtime Deputy DA Adra Renee Smith who expedites (as quickly and as leniently as possible) the majority of Lehigh County's DUI and DUI homicide cases.

Recently, A. Renee invited our civic-minded wrath here at LVS by publicly announcing she wants to be a judge.

Her dishonor needs to bone up on this from The Pennsylvania Code Of Judicial Conduct:

Canon 7. Judges should refrain from political activity inappropriate to their judicial office.

A. Political conduct in general.

(1) A judge or a candidate for election to judicial office should not:

(b) ... publicly endorse a candidate for political office.

Readers, one of DA Jim Martin's 50+ suspect ballot petitions was circulated and signed by judicial candidate (for now) and DA Jim Martin violative public endorser, the dishonorable A. Renee Smith, which was then dutifully notarized by longtime "impartial" (wink wink) DA Jim Martin "assistant," and notary, Merrily Starkey.

Yep. "Team Martin/Corbett" makes up its own laws.

And while the measly 24 signatures A. Renee collected (during work hours?) reveals a typically lackluster A. Renee effort at hedging her bets just in case Boss Jimbo squeaks back into office where she'd get to keep her job after she loses her judge race, they're clearly a violation (X24) of Pennsylvania's Code Of Judicial Conduct.

[UpDate] The Judicial Conduct Board, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has issued a stern warning letter to Renee Smith about her blatantly unethical behavior [JCB Complaint No. 2011-184].

Oopsie. There goes the judge.

[UpDate] Renee Smith publicly sits on DA Jim Martin's reelection Host Committee, another blatant violation of the PA Code of Judicial Conduct for judges and judicial candidates. I'll be reporting this to the Judicial Conduct Board too.
