Bill White: Coward & Liar

In his latest "W" Mike Donovan image rescue attempt on 12/3 (thinly disguised as a rumination on Allentown's 2011 budget approval process), under-achieving Morning Call "newspaper" food/gluttony columnist and obsessive LVS stalker Bill White "wrote" ...

Some councilpeople were speculating about whether a less dramatic increase in that Earned Income Tax, combined with a small property tax increase, might be more equitable, but Pawlowski was having none of it.

"If you would like to do that," he [Pawlowski] answered, "I would be more than happy to look at any proposal council would put forth."

Politically, it was the perfect, if somewhat smarmy, response: Put your record where your mouth is.

Q. Mr. White, what exactly was "smarmy" about Mayor Pawlowski publicly stating his willingness to consider a 2011 budget plan other than his own? Seems to me Mayor Pawlowski was throwing the door wide open for the 7 City Council members (all Democrats) to cooperatively forge a plan that, if better, would have been readily apparent to the many tuned-in citizens in attendance at City Council chambers last Wednesday evening as was reported on by 69 News ... no?

And ... wasn't last Wednesday evening supposed to be "W" Mike Donovan's moment to shine and dazzle everyone? Especially after all that pre-fight hype in The Morning Call "newspaper!"

Q. Mr. White, wouldn't "coward" have been the most appropriate word for you to use in describing "W" Mike Donovan's wimping out, cutting & running, and not even presenting his much ballyhooed alternative budget plan at City Council last Wednesday?

Instead, not only do you give Donovan a total pass on crapping out (in his pants), you disingenuously praise the "guy" as a maverick.

And most tellingly, you purposefully don't tell your handful of readers anything about the outrageous and insulting statements Donovan is making to, and about, the voters at his "Inclusion" blog, like for example this newsworthy nugget: "I have no sympathy for the voters, none."

Q. Readers, is "liar" too strong a word to use in describing Bill White?

I would be more than happy to look at any counter proposal Bill White would put forth.

In the meantime (if Bill White's 12/3 column isn't enough proof for you that he's a coward and a liar), see: Michael Donovan Ethics Board Whitewash.

As you can see, not only did "reporter" Jarrett Renshaw and "columnist" Bill White not tell their readers anything about the nature of the vile, anti-Villas content at Donovan's blog that triggered our complaint against Donovan to the Allentown "Ethics" Board ... Renshaw and White (w/ the approval of their editors) also both name-checked the author/perpetrators of all that signed anti-Villas vile at Donovan's blog as testimonial character witnesses for Donovan-- never mentioning that these Donovan "character witnesses" were also the author/perpetrators of all that anti-Villas filth at Donovan's blog.

Those are The Inconvenient Facts, folks.

Bill White is a coward and a liar.

Will Tom Corbett "Tap" DA Jim (hiccup) Martin as Temporary Attorney General?

Readers, although our blogosphere's local "media critic" Muhlenberg College's Doctor Jeff Pooley PhD curiously has nothing to say on this one, I can't help but notice ...

There's absolutely no "story" in
John Micek's Morning Call "story" on who may succeed Tom Corbett as temporary PA State Attorney General.

John Micek's spin/weave is all hearsay and gossip based on, "according to one observer," who is not named. [Note: Micek mentions a Morning Call-affiliated Muhlenberg College political science crony and pollster three-quarters of the way down the page later ... is this John Micek's "one observer?" It's skillfully unclear].

Is Micek's "one observer" Jim Martin?

Even creepier is that via Micek's "tribute" (tax deductible?), DA Jim Martin did not have to spend one reelection campaign dollar to get his picture on the front page of the online "newspaper" for 36 hours in an election year for him. Jesus. Only in ALLENTOWN.

Here's my informed opinion on John Micek's ludicrously transparent, kiss-blowing and ass-kissing article on DA Jim Martin in Saturday's "newspaper" ...

There's no way Jim Martin is gonna drag his Fat 'N Boozy ass to Harrisburg for 2 years to
"keep the seat warm" in the PA State Attorney General's office. What dutiful sellout John Micek and Martin's Morning Call "newspaper" drinking buddies are doing here is blowing smoke up the depends-laden derrieres of their geriatric (super voter) readers so when Martin "opts" to stay here and "run" (unopposed again?) for another term as DA he looks like a champ for having unselfishly "chosen" Lehigh County over Harrisburg and any personal political ambitions-- as if Jimbo has any ambition beyond not falling off the bar stool at the Hogan's Club.

I (respectfully) tried to post my opinion on all this in a comment at John Micek's Morning Call online article but my signed comment was deleted repeatedly. Apparently there are no "under-staffed" problems at the "newspaper" when it comes to muzzling Bill Villa, even on a weekend.

One thing I do know (first-hand) that is absolutely true in John Micek's article: Tom Corbett and Jim Martin are "longtime friends." And friends will sometimes do anything for each other.

Recently, John Micek went on record saying he's investigating whether Tom Corbett and Jim Martin engaged in collusion against me.

But then Micek curiously and inexplicably disappeared.

Come back John, I'd be happy to be a named source for you on crooked and incompetent Lehigh County DA Jim Martin.

Dr. Pooley ... your "thoughts?"

Donovan Runs & Hides From Apology Showdown Meeting at City Council

[Why won't Donovan apologize to the Villa family? Will we need a court order?]

Readers, below here is the 3-minute exposé essay I delivered at Allentown City Council on Wednesday evening July 21 (I really enjoy public speaking). I actually wrote it to time out at 2 and a half minutes so that I could encourage City Council and all those assembled to use my final 30 seconds of "Courtesy of the Floor" time to reflect silently on City Council VP (for now) "W" Mike Donovan" who was absent and hiding under a rock somewhere. I noticed that the 5 City Council members at the dais (Councilman Schweyer was a no-show too) all used their 30 seconds of "Donovan Reflection Time" to give me icy dagger stares. Gee. I must have this all backwards. See I think Donovan is the bad guy in this story, but obviously City Council thinks I'm the problem. Oh well. Repetition is the mother of learning.

The meeting had started out jovially enough, with promise-ignoring Council President Mike D'Amore barreling into Council Chambers and immediately heading for the "press box" at the back of the room to back-slap and yuk it up w/ Morning Call "newspaper" "reporter" Jarrett Renshaw and self-proclaimed "professional blogger" Chris Casey. Subtle.

At least my pal Allentown Chief of Police Roger MacLean was there and we exchanged warm pleasantries (including a hug where I think he frisked me), although I forgot to assure Roger that come 2011 he won't have to deal w/ (hiccup) Jim Martin anymore. When Chief MacLean got up to speak at the microphone on an issue, I got up and took D'Amore's empty seat in the "press box" w/ Chris Casey and sat right next to Jarrett Renshaw and a hovering cop for half an hour.

Anyways, here's what I said at the podium, and FYI, I'll be doing an encore performance of this at the next City Council meeting on August 4, when, hopefully, "W" Mike Donovan and all the TV news crews will be back from "vacation" (wink wink).

"I'm Bill Villa from Allentown here to report that right after my debut visit to City Council on June 16th, Council VP Donovan deleted the hundreds of sadistically cruel and libelous comments he had knowingly encouraged against my family at his blog for the entire month of March 2010.

And I say knowingly encouraged because Donovan posted this comment himself at his blog that read and I quote: "I am just going to let all comments run. They are fun to read."

Those fun comments at Donovan's blog (and I gave you hard copy on June 16th) implied and asserted that I engage in necrophilia with my deceased daughter Sheena ... that I drink my own urine ... that I snort Sheena's ashes ... that my wife Angie is going to hell ... and that my still living 8 year old son Gianni is poison.

Donovan could have deleted those vile comments back in March when they were posted but he didn't. He also could have deleted them after my Ethics Board complaint against him, or after he expressed his "concern" about his blog’s comments on 69 News on June 2nd but he didn't delete them then either.

Only when Donovan found out I emailed City Council links to his cyber terror against my family ... so you could read Donovan's vile for yourselves, did Donovan first change his blog design so the links I sent you wouldn't work ... and then he mass-deleted those hundreds of sadistically cruel comments in a public admission of guilt and wrongdoing.

Clearly it was wrong for City Council Vice President Donovan to knowingly encourage Chris Casey of Trexlertown and [Redacted] to post and sign all those vile comments against my family at Donovan’s blog.

And now that Donovan has publicly admitted his wrongdoing by deleting those filthy comments, my family wants a public apology from Donovan, here at City Council, and in writing for posting at our blog.

I, uh, can't help but notice that Council VP Donovan has chosen to not be here with us this evening ... even though Council canceled its July 7th meeting for some summer time off ... and even though Donovan knew all about tonight's Apology Showdown. So I'll be back on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of every month, until pusillanimous Councilor Donovan gives my family and me his long overdue public apology.

Mr. Hanlon [City Clerk and Timekeeper], I'd now like to use the balance of my time for all of us to quietly consider the outrageousness of Michael Donovan's cyber cruelty against my family."

Tick. Tick. Tick.

A Challenge for Morning Call "Newspaper" "Reporter" (for now) Jarrett Renshaw

LVS is the #1 Most Influential Political Blog in Pennsylvania most weeks only because our readers are #1.

Here's a comment we received from an LVS reader this morning that merited its own post, merci LVS reader, and Jarrett Renshaw, we expect a comment from you, since we see you and your Morning Call "newspaper" IP# on our SiteMeter(R) visiting this blog dozens of times every day including weekends and holidays.

JARRETT RENSHAW ALERT! The "Watchdog" Morning Call "newspaper" on Page 5 today wastes almost an entire page to highlight what it says are "red flags" arising from ONE City of Allentown business development loan (out of 13 loans, only one of which is in default, the story notes).

Let's see: By the end of the story, we learn this loan is current (the business has "made all their loan payments," the story notes) and that a city lien against the business has been paid by the business and removed. Look hard for those facts, they are hidden amidst all the negative naysayer swill.

Jumping on the bash-Pawlowski bandwagon is council president Michael D'Amore, quoted in the article as saying the loan was "irresponsible" and "a negligent thing to do with the people's money."

Let's see: Isn't it the job of the city to encourage & support downtown business debvelopment? If the City adopts lending standards like a for-profit bank, then wouldn't we see the paralysis of investment/mortgage monies that is to blame for the sluggish national economy?

One last thing: Notice in the entire page-long story, not one comment in support of the loan or the mayor's business development efforts, or even an explanation of why this loan was done in the first place? (Jarrett says the business owners and mayor would not comment for the story, but who can blame them when the "newspaper" would only print half the facts?)

There must be someone in the city who can add a neutral or positive comment.

Hey Jarrett, how about waiting until the loan fails before you accuse anyone of negligence or irresponsibility? -Sun Jul 11, 07:52:00 AM 2010
