Bill Villa Knocks Out Everybody @ City Council Meeting w/ 1 Punch (just sayin')

Here's the 3-minute exposé knockout punch I delivered at the June 16 Allentown City Council Meeting.

FYI, I'll be returning to City Council on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of every month to re-deliver it, until City Council VP and ethics professor (swear to God) W. Michael Donovan deletes every single one of the hundreds of anti-Villas comments he keeps flying proudly at his blog and gives my family and me the public apology in Council Chambers (and in writing) that he should have given us a long time ago.

I'm Bill Villa, a lifelong resident of Allentown.

I'm here to talk about City Council VP Donovan, and how he uses his Internet blog to host, and encourage, hate speech against citizens of Allentown.

For the entire month of March 2010, Donovan allowed and knowingly published hundreds of vile blog comments about me, my wife Angie, and my deceased daughter Sheena, at the same blog he uses to communicate with constituents.

And I say knowingly published because about 2 weeks into his month-long cyber attack on my family, Donovan posted this comment himself that read:

"
I am just going to let all comments run. They are fun to read."

One fun comment implied that I engage in necrophilia with my deceased daughter ... other comments still at Donovan's blog declare that Bill Villa is a professional asshole ... who drinks his own urine ... snorts his dead daughter's ashes ... is a lousy human being ... an evil and irrelevant creature ... a transsexual ... a convicted criminal who has made terroristic threats against the DA ... has threatened to kill employees of The Morning Call ... and whose wife is a robot with a chip in her brain and who's going to hell.

There was also talk of disrupting The Villas musical performance at Mayfair .. at Arts Commissioner Donovan's fun blog.

Council President D'Amore knew all about what was going on at Donovan's blog this past March. D'Amore told me he looked into a censure for Donovan, and it was D'Amore who advised me to file a complaint against Donovan with the Allentown Ethics Board.

Because
Donovan rejected
having a hearing in front of the Ethics Board ... because that would have made public all his hate speech against my family ... and because The Morning Call has deceitfully not mentioned any of Donovan's hate speech in its reporting, this forum is really my only opportunity to inform and educate the public on the real W. Michael Donovan.

Ethics Professor Donovan. Who's political blogging chums include Chris Casey from Trexlertown and [Redacted], who, in lock-step with Donovan, and The Morning Call, all bash Mayor Pawlowski relentlessly.

Most of the comments targeting and terrorizing my family at Donovan's blog were posted and signed by Trexlertown Casey and [Redacted].

In its 100% Integrity-Free reporting on the Ethics Board's ruling, The Morning Call actually quotes Casey and [Redacted] as character witnesses for Donovan ... but somehow forgets on purpose to mention that these same two cretins, posting (and signing) vile comments at Donovan's blog, were responsible for Donovan getting hauled in front of the Ethics Board to begin with.

Bill White knew enough about my ethics complaint to deem it "preposterous" and "frivolous" ... but, like Jarrett Renshaw, Bill White left out the necrophilia part ... and anything that came even close to describing the hate speech against my family at Donovan's blog.

So now you have The Ugly Truth about Michael Donovan who signs his blog and emails with this pathetic piece of hypocrisy:

"Progress Begins with Mutual Respect"

Donovan blew his stack and was yelling and screaming (all captured on Morning Call Freelancer Diana Morse's flip-cam)

Bill's comeback: "I was hoping we could keep it civil tonight, Mike."

A Classic Moment.

Merci, and merci for attending.

Bill, can you answer me this? Why do you state facts, which are never challenged as inaccurate, while all the critics out there simply voice opinions? (And we know that everyone has an opinion 'cause opinions are just like a##holes).

Bill Villa said...

Point well taken, 6:13, FACTS (and The Truth) do not play well around here. Way too inconvenient.

But here's the thing ... we'll be pumping out facts and truth at a much LOUDER volume, and w/ much more frequency, in the coming weeks and months.

Crooked Colluding Cronies: TAKE COVER.

Bill and Angie, it breaks my heart to see you now having to do the heavy lifting work the Allentown Ethics Board should have done for you. Godspeed and you were absolutely terrific at Mayfair (that new song “Oh Shelli” is hysterical and so creative!)

Bill Villa said...

Merci, City Oh. I love Angie's "acting" in it.

ON LAST NIGHT

As I turned to leave the podium, Chris Casey was next in line to speak (a safe distance up the aisle a ways) and as I prepared to pass him, uneventfully, he said, too loudly, "Would you like to slither past here?" To which I stopped, turned, and started back in Casey's direction. Council President D'Amore heard him and yelled, "MR. CASEY" ... to which I turned to the police officer standing by and gestured for him to come assist me by saying, "Officer, this man is harassing me, would you please intervene here" ... and as the cop was getting up from his seat, I said to the dais, and to the audience, "I've been dealing with provocations like you just saw for the past two years ..." and as D'Amore continued with "MR. CASEY" ... I headed for the exit, and noticing that everyone was watching me, I said, "See you all next Council meeting." And went home.

Casey was told by Solicitor Fonzone to shut his face at the Ethics Board hearing, right? The guy never learns.

Anonymous said...

Donovan was yelling and screaming? Well, he stayed in character. The dude needs anger management class. He has a track record for getting into violent confrontations, no?

Anonymous said...

Fonzone also told Donovan he needed to keep quiet at the ethics hearing, right? Fonzone told Donovan he blew his chance to speak when he cowardly refused to ask for a full and fair hearing on the issue.

Bill Villa said...

(Oui, all true) and I am just going to let all comments run. They are fun to read. No necrophilia (or urine drinking) though, okay?

My Take...

The longer sitting City Council VP (for now) “W” Michael Donovan refuses to delete & apologize, the more regional and national media attention this shocking story will attract. Oopsie.

MORE ON LAST NIGHT

Council Prez D'Amore proactively greeted me very warmly in chambers, and asked if I would defer to some high school students who wanted to speak, and I sure, sure, Mike. I ended up deferring to like 4 people but that was okay, I was in no hurry.

Councilman Julio Guridy proactively greeted me very warmly and told me reads (and enjoys) our blog.

Councilman Ray O'Connell was extremely warm to me, he knows my parents, and Angie from her teaching days (Ray was Principal at Trexler middle school), he was also longtime neighbors with a graphic designer I did a lot of work with in the past. Ray made a point of mentioning Sheena (he was the only one) and expressing his sincere sympathies and I really appreciated that.

Councilman Schweyer I don't know.

Councilman Mike Schlossberg is of course a card- carrying member of Team Casey/Donovan (and a total weenie, Jesus) and Councilwoman Jeanette Eichenwald was absent so I emailed her everything.

Bill Villa said...

(almost forgot)

... and Councilor Donovan bellowed at me ENOUGH!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!

I'm just gettin' warmed up Mike.

Was anyone from the Morning Call there?

Bill Villa said...

Jarrett Renshaw was there, he was sitting w/ Chris Casey in the "press box" area in the back corner.

Anonymous said...

No Bill White? That's curious, since White has written a column and a blog lately dedicated to deceitfully ignoring and obscuring the facts of this shameful Donovan/Ethics story ...

Bill Villa said...

Yep. I missed him ...

Anonymous said...

So, Renshaw was there ... but he didn't write anything on it?

Bill Villa said...

Dunno, I haven't checked ...

Bill Villa said...

Anybody still supporting Mike Donovan is coming down w/ him.

Remember where you heard it first.

If you're friends w/ Donovan, our sage advice to you is to convince him to "Delete & Apologize."

Go quiet like.

Otherwise, we're gonna pulverize him (figuratively).

Had you a backbone ... or a conscience ... you would have mandated an apology and blog deletions from Donovan.

As this story attracts regional and national attention, I'll make sure the media spells all of your names correctly.

Thanks again for nothing.

Bill, I was there last night..I think you made your point to the people that were there but I am not sure what your long term goal is here. Had the police officer stepped in I would have had to step up and defend your actions...Chris Casey was out of line...I am not sure that your venue is the appropriate one however.

Bill Villa said...

3:32, sorry, your comment got trapped in our spam catcher (dunno why that happens occasionally).

Re: our "long-term goal," it's fairly bone fuckin' simple, and it's identical to our short-term goal:

We require all those vile comments about our family at Donovan's blog gone, ASAP ... and we require a public apology from Donovan (in writing) delivered in City Council chambers.

If you're "not sure that my venue is the appropriate one" ...

I'm all ears.

Suggest a better one.

And thanks for being ready to step in against Chris Casey.

For a fleeting second there my mind was picturing Coroner Scott Grim needing dental records to identify Casey's body.

Just sayin'.

Good thing we can't be arrested for our thoughts.

Bill Villa said...

Not that it hasn't been tried ...

Anonymous said...

Am trying to think of a better venue..Council is pretty much attended by the same people so I am not sure your message is as far reaching as it could be...have to think on this. I don't have any doubts that some obscure law will be ressurected to stop the bimonthly comments...

Smart Alec said...

From Donovan's blog, June 3, 2010, the post entitled "On Mistakes":

"Stepping back, and not getting everything you want, admitting a mistake, questioning your assumptions, and suspending judgment are skills that are hard to come by and even harder to maintain. I cannot say that I have been perfect at these skills. Made my enormous share of stupid mistakes without apologizing. Become exceedingly mad when I should not have."

Yup. Still do!

Bill Villa said...

Anon 5:06/6:09 ...

I do understand what you're saying, and I sincerely appreciate you caring enough to think on this and share your thoughts w/ me, thank you. And yeah, I too anticipate a "kill the messenger" attempt here, i.e., muzzling Villa, because that's "easier" (they might wrongly think) than them confronting Donovan and using their peer pressure to force him into doing the right thing here. But that's exactly what the "good guys" on City Council, and in City government, should be doing here-- figuratively grabbing Donovan by the back of the neck, shoving his nose in the pile of shit he pooped, cracking him on the nose figuratively and making him clean up the foul mess he created by deleting those comments and apologizing to me.

And that's what I'll be asking them to do, the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of every month.

And if they don't, well, I'll make a lot of noise about the real bad choice they made in protecting and enabling Donovan.

There's a very clear right and wrong here.

Donovan's an elected official. If he can't take the heat of the criticism we've heaped on him here for what we believe are very bad decisions on his part regarding who he chooses to publicly hob-knob with, and support, namely out-of-towners who have been provoking us (and you saw Casey in action on Wednesday night), too bad. And he can't use what we've written about him here to justify the filth he has "enjoyed" publishing about us at his blog.

It's not an apples-to-apples comparison.

"Necrophiliac" tops "duped" every day of the week and it's not even close.

Donovan has no case. None. Zero. He's 100% wrong.

Bill Villa said...

Smart Alec, excellent catch, merci. From what I've observed about Donovan, he's a "do as I say" kind of "guy" who doesn't do himself what he says others should do.

Example:

"Progress Begins w/ Mutual Respect"

"Gianni Villa ... pitching too fast for the league"

Like father, like son.

Bill Villa said...

Good one.

And here's an excellent example of pitching too fast for the league:

Joe Levin's third degree murder conviction for DUI homicide.

It's one of numerous relevant precedent Pennsylvania cases I presented to DA Jim Martin and Judge Robert Steinberg in making my case for a third degree murder charge against my daughter Sheena's killer. Other PA cases involving third degree murder convictions for DUI homicide include ...

* Commonwealth vs. Urbanski

* Commonwealth vs. Kling

* Commonwealth vs. Pigg

* Commonwealth vs. Scales

I'm fairly positive neither DA Jim Martin nor Judge Steinberg reviewed any of these cases (at my politely persistent request) prior to charging and sentencing Sheena's killer.

If they had, they would have seen that third degree murder was the appropriate charge for Sheena's killer-- a charge and conviction that would have withstood an appeal, like the cases I've mentioned above-- all these third degree murder convictions for drunk drivers who killed people were upheld on appeal. All are "good law." Look 'em up.

Morning Call "reporter" Manny Gamiz did. In fact, Manny told me he found several OTHER cases that I had missed.

The "newspaper" reported on none of them.

Instead, they portrayed me as a vengeful loony.

I just wanted justice. I just wanted my daughter's killer charged with what he did to Sheena.

He murdered Sheena, in the third degree.

It was a fastball right down the middle of the plate.

But the umpire was off getting a drink somewhere.

Bill Villa said...

Now that we all know the FACTS, and the truth, regarding W. Michael Donovan's monthlong cyber attack against my family ...

... and the saddest FACT that The Morning Call "newspaper" has reported on NONE of the hundreds of vile comments that are still flying "proudly" and defiantly at Donovan's blog ...

please take another look (or maybe it's your first look) at WFMZ-TV 69 News's courageous coverage, click on "Watch Video."

My thanks again to reporter Joscelyn Moes and 69 News Director Brad Rinehart for their honest coverage of both sides of this story.

Anonymous said...

Bill, in all due respect, I wouldn't call FMZ's coverage "courageous."

I would call it "unavoidable" (unless you're the Morning Call where anything goes).

69 put their toe in the water.

LVS's coverage is courageous.

Speaking of the Morning Call, I notice today in their web coverage of the latest Ron Angle Circus the newspaper links to "other" news sources, but does not link to the embarassingly biased blog that's bought and paid for by Angle. I suppose the newspaper only links there if it serves to embarass the newspaper's enemies.

Also, lazy incompetence, and pure evil, aren't mutually exclusive.

City Council, contained in this email are the 13 pages of vile blog comments from Donovan's blog that I left with you on June 16 as hard copy.

I've included them for you here digitally with clickable links that will take you to the relevant Donovan blog posts, so that you can read the many hundreds more offensive comments in their entirety, and in context.

I presented this evidence to the Ethics Board the same way, i.e., with the worst of the comments compiled on 13 hard copy pages, also as digital files, and with all the relevant blog posts and their hundreds of offensive comments printed out in their entirety. I'm assuming the Ethics Board didn't read any of it.

I respectfully request that you familiarize yourselves w/ this material, as I will be referencing it on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of every month during Courtesy of the Floor, until ethics professor Donovan removes all offensive comments at his blog that are targeting and terrorizing my grief-stricken family and gives us a public apology in Council chambers so the local media can cover it.

Please forward this email to Councilman Ray O'Connell as I don't have Ray's email and it's not listed on Council's web page.

Thank you for your consideration of this matter, and for any influence you can exert on Councilor Donovan to do the right thing here.

The first time I ever read anything about Obama was about 7 or 8 years ago, in Esquire magazine. There was a photo of him in his Chicago office. He had that photo of Ali on his office wall. I noticed because I had the same photo on my office wall at that time.
Ali was trashed by many Americans and called a coward and traitor. Now he's seen as a hero and patriot to most Americans. What he did required bravery.
