Readers, Bill (Villa) and I had a very enjoyable 1.5 hour breakfast chat w/ Lehigh County Commissioner Bill Leiner Jr. this morning at the fabulously renovated new West Side Diner (formerly Saylor's) in Allentown.
It appears the "two Bills" have a lot in common.
Both Bills are really nice guys and true (and proud) Liberal Democrats.
Both Bills are former Bethlehem Steel workers, Bill Leiner a longtime veteran of BethSteel machine shops, and Bill Villa a furnace jack-hammerer in the mid-1970s.
Bill Villa believes that blogger Bernie O'Hare has never been rehabilitated from the evil intent activity O'Hare was disbarred for in 1986-- that is, O'Hare's 2-year emotional torturing of his African-American civil rights client, and former Bethlehem Steel worker, George Usry.
Bill Villa also believes that when O'Hare publicly threatened, twice, to sabotage the civil litigation of Sheena Villa at the David Najarian & Bernie O'Hare co-created "Troll Parade" blog, that that evil intent activity provides compelling evidence that O'Hare has never been rehabilitated from the evil intent activity O'Hare was disbarred for in 1986-- i.e., sabotaging the civil litigation of his own client, George Usry.

I don't think Bill Villa's crazy either. On the contrary. I'm very sure Bill Villa isn't crazy. But it's so convenient for the people who don't like him to repeat he's nutz over and over to distract from his message.
It's only a minority -- a vocal minority -- that indulge their ego, hypocrisy and hate, Mr. Villa.
I can't help but contrast Leiner's stance with that of Donovan's, a guy who seems to incite a pattern of physical violence because of his overactive sense of entitlement. It's ironic, that when Donovan acts up he's praised for "taking a stand" but when the Villas act up they are branded as nutz. Oh, read Donovan's latest sermon and then recall how O'Hater gloated that his efforts would hopefully deny a Lehigh prof tenure, unless facts and reality give you a headache.

Here's a bit of background info on our favorite Lehigh County Commissioner, Bill Leiner Jr., from the Lehigh County website ...
Commissioner Leiner comes to the Board as a Commissioner-At-Large after serving as mayor of the Borough of Coplay for 10 years. He was a member of Coplay Borough Council for two years.
A registered nurse with a Master’s Degree in Science and Healthcare Administration from St. Frances University and certification as a mental health/psychiatric nurse, he is currently nursing director for Inpatient Services at Lehigh Valley Hospital. Leiner also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology and sociology from Moravian College.
Prior to his career in the health care system, Commissioner Leiner worked at Bethlehem Steel for 27 years ending his career as a craft tested machinist A. During that time, he was also an official for Locals 2598 and 2599, United Steel Workers of America.
Leiner is a volunteer for the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley and has held leadership positions with the Coplay Scholarship Fund, the Coplay Health Board, the Coplay Town Watch, the Wildcat Basketball Camp, the Saylor Cement Kilns Preservation Board and he is a member of the International Society of Psychiatric Nurses.
Commissioner Leiner currently serves as chair of the Board’s Judiciary & Corrections Committee and is an ex offico member of the Boards of the Lehigh County Humane Society, the Wildlands Conservancy, the Civic Theater of Allentown and the Wildlife Information Center.

On a happier note, in addition to being a great listener, Bill Leiner asks great questions too. One he asked us yesterday at breakfast was, "So what's the end game here?"

Do "publicity opportunists" like Don Cunningham and Michael Donovan and Dean Browning and Sal Panto and Constable Fred Shoenenberger and Tony Iannelli and whoever else realize that, at last peek of his formerly "Open Sitemeter," O'Hare's LV Ramblings blog was tallying in the vicinity of 600 "VISITS" (not "Readers") per day. Since most "ramblings regulars" visit O'Hare blog 2, 3, 4, 10, 20 times a day, that gives O'Hare like, what, 200 different individual readers maybe? Tops. And as soon as Bill blog posted about O'Hare's "Open" sitemeter and his 600 daily VISITS, POOF(CLOSED) went his open sitemeter. Of course O'Hare doesn't want people doing the math anymore. I think this really sheds some light on a question asked in a post here recently, ie, ...ARE YOU STILL DUPED BY O'HARE? All together now O'Hare-Duped local politicos like Michael Donovan: "YES!" Hi Villas, imho you're doing Cunningham a favor by making him aware of O'Hare's dark side and troubling past (and present), even if it means putting him in an awkward position now.
If he decides to run for governor later on, the candidate who runs against him will have a field day saying that he knowingly associates with people who kick blue-collar folks when they're down (like Usry and White's family).
There are a lot of blue-collar voters in PA. I'm sure a Republican candidate for governor would love to get more of their votes.

I applaud commish BILL LEINER for taking time out of his schedule to meet with Bill and Angie and listen to their story and to make a definitive decision, an "up or down" vote basically, which is pretty refreshing for any politician who can always find ways to stall. I also agree whole heartedley with Bill Leiner's "down" vote on Bernie O'Hater and it is my hope that more local elected pols vote the same way.

Here's what I think is a great example of a typical Lopsided Villa Victory Versus Miscellaneous Anonymous Trolls and NOT that I'm trying to encourage MORE of this sort of thing mind you :) but my point is this: why not retire undefeated like Rocky Marciano! These dufuses like Donovan (sadly) can't lay a glove on you Bill.

I would hope Bill (and Angie) that you would both stay in the "fight game," e.g., working behind the scenes and persuading more politicos and regular citizens to reject, avoid and ostracize O'hare, etc.
My point being that you obviously get great traction out there in the real world meeting with real people (like Bill Leiner) but that in this "rigged" and O'hare-duped local blogosphere of ours, it's kind of pointless. Like pearls to swine if you know what I mean. That most recent Michael Donovan post and the fifty plus comments where "civil" Donovan allows the vile bile to flow so freely against you should close the deal for you, IMHO. Sure, you can continue to beat their brains out (not a threat). But...why?
