"Little Hussein"
Please click on this link and watch the video of a racist McCain/Palin supporter at a rally in Johnstown PA. Very scary.

Ah yes, negroes as monkeys. Muslim monkeys. Terrorist monkeys. "He's not like us." See. It'll be interesting to see how the "right" justifies this one. I guess we lefties just have no sense of humor.
This guy's face should be on all the national newscasts. He thinks it's okay to just go out and blatanly show his racism. The republicans should come out and condemn this.
The guy says:
"Little Hussein came out to see truth and good Americans."
And the people around him are laughing along with him. No one stops the guy.
The PA Republican Party chairman said "Obama is a terrorist's best friend."
There is a video of hateful things said outside the Bethlehem rally. Here's a link:

I must clarify, Chairman of the PA Republican Party,Robert Gleason, sent out a press release titled "Obama is a terrorist's best friend"
Here's the story:

Nothing new here. People were saying these things in America/Pennsylvania BEFORE Obama started running for office. Now they are feeling entitled and bolder because many people in Washington with power are coming out who share their beliefs and fears.

After most of the rats who voted for Bush (twice) have scurried from the sinking ship, only the fringe element remains behind. But don't take pity on them, they don't need your sympathy. After Obama is elected the rats will happily spew hate while lurking in their comfort zone. But a few will hold their breath until they pass out.
(Hey Alfonso, long time no see/hear) ... yep, you are right. And Rep. Lewis had it right recently when he said that the McCain campaign's coded rhetoric is enabling the kind of racist aggression that guys like George Wallace and Richard Nixon made famous. Too bad somebody couldn't have pinned this Little Hussein guy up against the building with a blast from a water cannon like the ones Sheriff Bull Connor used in the 60s.
" ... a few will hold their breath until they pass out."
You read the Rolling Stone article ;) let's hope McCain uses this strategy on Wednesday Night at The Final Debate. The way things have been going for him, it might be his (last gasp) best hope ...
I hope you folks don't mind, but I just made a political contribution to Jim Martin.
No, not THAT Jim Martin. The other Jim Martin is the 5th entry in the list at:

Check out "Crush their spirits" ... just be prepared for the irresistible desire to make some online contributions (as I did) as soon as you read it. The time for doing nothing in response to the despicable right-wing smear machine is over!

I wanted to make sure ActBlue was legit, and this article was reassuring:

"No, not THAT Jim Martin."
Great info Dave Follie, thanks!
Re: that "other Jim Martin," his goose may be cooked before Thanksgiving but don't expect to read about the recipe in The Morning Call. Stay tuned here for all the delicious details ...
"Hence our need this year to take advantage of this perfect Democratic storm to not just win, but to utterly wipe the board clear of as many Republicans as we can catch in this wave." -Daily Kos
Swift Boating all Republicans up the creek to oblivion and without a paddle. Now we're thinking.
Swiftboating ALL R's? Now that's a little extreme :) and so far the Dems have taken the high road. I would hope there are some moderate and lefty R's who are as appalled as we are at where the McCain campaign has ended up.
The final debate should be interesting. So far Obama has been the bigger man and has stayed cool in addition to being both substantive and stylish. I wonder if he will bring up the Keating Five scandal? Or the fact that McCain left his model first wife after she became disfigured in an accident. Former friends Nancy and Ronald Reagan disowned John McCain for his adulterous co-habitating with future second wife Cindy during his first wife's physical and emotional struggles, and how heroic was this of John McCain? I'm hoping Obama won't have to mention these shameful events in John McCain's life to counter McCain's BS against him about Bill Ayers. We'll see.
John McCain graduated 894th out of 899 at the Naval Acadeny, 5th from the bottom of his class.
I think it's disgusting that someone with that ridiculous, racist monkey doll would be allowed into a political rally. They try to filter out all the nutjobs at the door, don't they? Did you see that footage last week on the news where some crazy woman at one of McCain's town hall meetings said Obama can't be trusted and that he is an Arab? McCain actually stopped her and corrected her. But I wonder, what planet are some of these people from? It's amazing that these are the people who are his supporters. It doesn't bode well for him.
My senior citizen mother mentioned to me last weekend that she is unsure about Obama because of his association with that terrorist. Never underestimate the intelligence of American voters, that's how we got Bush twice and that's what the R's are counting on.
Had Wall Street and the economy not tanked recently, incredibly, John McCain would probably still be ahead in the polls. He was still leading as recently as like a month ago, incredibly. As anon 2:00 pm points out, many Americans are stupid and tend to wanna stick with the status quo and what they know. But threaten their dough (uh oh) and you'll get their attention. So thankfully, there's a silver lining to our bad economy story and it's that it prompted many many undecided and Republican Americans to realize there's a whole lot of stuff that's badly broken and that it's been 8 years of Republican reign that broke it-- and that making the major change (on many levels) of electing Barack Obama President would be putting one's own self-centered money interests first, and, indirectly, and okay reluctantly, Country First. Hey, if this ends up being the how and why Barack Obama becomes our next President, fine, we'll take it. Once he has everyone's undivided attention, nearly everyone will realize what a great choice he was and what idiots we would have been to elect John McCain President. Sheesh.
Hi Sarina,
Filtering the nutjobs at the door is a good idea, that's what we do here at LV Somebody ;)
Once this guy got inside and saw the national news cameras he became a coward. While he was outside, it seemed like the white sheets were off. Go to the link to Keystone Progress blog and you can see and hear people spewing hate outside of Stabler. I saw the clip of that woman calling Obama an Arab. The McCain Campaign is encouraging these people through their hateful negative ads. And at a rally Palin said Obama has been palling around with terrorists.
Anon 2pm, I can relate, my mom informed me that Barack Obama's agenda is "to bring America to its knees." Where do senior citizens get this stuff? (See: Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Lielly, Glenn Beck). Somehow I still love my mom (and my dad) but I think right-wing-nut-job TV and radio personalities should be sent to Guantanamo.
Anon 7:28,
Thanks for link. The Keating Five scandal has been mentioned in the media, but has not been given enough attention. And McCain has been speaking out against cronyism. What a fraud.
Did anyone see the CNN interview with McCain where he was asked about the hate at his rallies and responded with "I have heard the same things at Senator Obama's rallies about me."
It's really lousy that when Obama fights back, defending himself against McCain's smears, deceptions, misdirections, outright lies, and cruelties, that many people then perceive the situation as "oh they're BOTH being negative and behaving badly" and they completely miss the billboard-sized, um, nuance, of the whole "good guy -- bad guy" thing and the "aggressor -- self-defense" thing. Sadly, practiced bad guy aggressors know they can count on this phenomena kicking in and this enables them to get away with all manner of cheating.
However, all bad guys eventually get their come-uppance, one way or another.
John McCain's will come November 4.
Obama has taken the high road. How about those signs at McCain rally:
"Obama Bin Lyin"
Why is this allowed???
"We don't throw the first punch, but we'll throw the last."
~ Barack Obama
