Thanks, Mom for planning some fun birthday parties. I can remember taking my record player outside and dancin' to The Partridge Family at this one. Or was it Donny Osmond? The year- 1971. I'm on the left side 2nd from front. I don't know why I did not get to sit at the head of the table. Don't forget to honor Mom on Sunday!Friday, May 9, 2008

i like your photo and the sentiment behind it. when my son was about 5, his mother hired a balloon-man in a gorilla suit to entertain the kids. he was very late and she was vicious. i recall seeing her out on the porch pounding on his chest when he finally arrived.
Thanks.
I would think the gorilla would scare kids at that age, not mommy!
my daughter's birthday party is tomorrow + i'm freaking out about how to make it special and fun and comfortable (it's a heatwave here)
Hi Modmom,
I love your blog. I think birthday parties work best when they are small, no more than 10 kids.
Hope you have a nice party. I'll always remember my mom's parties in our yard. Nothing fancy, just fun.
Hi Angel-
I remember this photo and your party- I think we danced to Donny Osmond!
