Email, Outgoing, to Rick Daugherty

On Mar 2, 2010, at 3:41:51 PM, Bill Villa wrote:

Rick .. local blogger Bernie O'Hare has been emotionally cyber-torturing my wife and me for nearly 2 years.

We recently filed suit against O'Hare in Lehigh County, charging him with Malicious Prosecution, Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress, and Libel.

Not coincidentally, O'Hare was disbarred in 1986 for emotionally torturing his own African-American civil rights client for 2 years.

Yes, it's true, we "bash some Democrats" at our blog (we bash some Republicans too) ... i.e., those, like Michael Donovan, Mike Schlossberg, and Don Cunningham, who enable and legitimize O'Hare via participation at O'Hare's snake pit of a blog.

It would be incredibly short-sighted and counter-productive for the local Democratic party to exclude me from the process of attempting to defeat Jim Martin.

I have every right to publicly criticize Michael Donovan, Mike Schlossberg, and Don Cunningham for allying with a Northampton County hate blogger who is cyber bullying a grief-stricken Lehigh County family ... mine. So please try to get over this, and stop holding my rights of free speech against me; that's a very unbecoming thing for Democrats to be doing.

And frankly, you need me ... if you're seriously entertaining the daunting task of de-throning power-entrenched Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin.

I'm expecting you to change your mind(s) about your refusal to meet with me.

And I'm expecting you to stop keeping me waiting on this ... as you've insulted me enough already.

Patiently (for now) awaiting your expeditious reply.

Sincerely,

Bill Villa

My Take...

The combination of Rick Daugherty Chairing the party and O'Hare doing the "public relations" resulted in Lehigh County's
(formerly) most popular Democrat [Don Cunning-Ham] just barely avoiding the unemployment line last November. Breathtaking was this, in its stupifying display of incompetence. Heck, there's no telling what Team Daugherty/O'Hare is capable of accomplishing together in the future.

Such a "bully" you are :)

good for you.

Silence is acceptance if you ask me. O'Hare should have been condemned a long time ago for what he has been perpetrating on the Villa family. Instead, thoughtless "duped dunces" including Donavan, Schlossberg and Cunningham have basically spit in the Villas faces. No wonder the Villas are pissed off.

That's it? That's all Rick Daugherty had to say?

Bill, OT here, I have some serious questions. Is Ron Angle destroying the phony Will he filed ? If so, is Ron Angle destroying the phony Will in order to obstruct justice into the potential invetigation into alleged conspiracy, forgery and perjury ?

Bill and Angie - it seems to me you have given the Lehigh County Dems every chance to see the obvious truth of this situation. Mr. Daugherty's response to your email seems like the typical, manufactured, bureaucratic BS - vague, placating, and completely void of any real apathy to the seriousness of your request. I find it very hard to (and am completely astounded by how you two are able to) keep from questioning the political integrity and relevance of the Lehigh County Democratic Party. It appears to me that pursuing a democratic DA seat is just not something that is on the agenda. Its pathetic.

I hope they are not mad at my "bashing" them. If it makes them feel better I can post acouple comments about what awful bottom feeders the right wingers are?? When it comes to politics, I, like you, am an equal opportunity hater.

Bill Villa said...

Thanks for your thoughts, "Pand." I agree w/ all of them, especially the ones about the local Democratic Party not having any integrity and not being interested in challenging Jim Martin.

I phoned Rick Daugherty after receiving his insultingly brief email. It sounded like maybe Rick was doing his aerobic or pilates workout while speaking w/ me. He was equally distracted when we had breakfast a few months back; he spent about half our time on his cell phone and he forgot to take the 2 Villas CDs we brought for him.

One of the more incredible things he said to me on the phone tonight is that while I'd be "free to speak with the Democratic candidate for DA after the committee, or you, find one, the committee will not meet with you." And yes, this is because I had the audacity to condemn Lehigh County Democrats Donovan, Schlossberg, and Cunning-Ham for their cozy affiliations w/ Northampton County hate blogger/liar/disbarred lawyer/cyber-stalker/evil sadist/lawsuit defendant Bernie O'Hare. My bad.

Yep. I have.

Why should Rick and his clubhouse pals change their attitude? Although they have been so ineffective getting Dems into office in Lehigh County, we still should give them a pass as they are such lovable losers. Like the Chicago Cubs.
I've always wondered why in this blue state, with a huge Demo voting block in Allentown, the Democrats always get shut out in county elections? It's like Lehigh County has more in common with Lancaster County than our neighbor, Northampton County.

Bill Villa said...

It's "Don't Tell Me How To Do My Job" syndrome.

Pappy Kranzley had this affliction. Ditto Jim Martin.

It's a Lancaster-Lehigh County thing.

I know Rick Daugherty is much too busy (what w/ aerobics, pilates, and losing to Republicans) to be reading blogs, but FYI, here's Allentown City Council Vice President and "Democrat" (wink wink) Michael Donovan hosting a blog that's enabling and encouraging taunting provocations of the Villas.

Donovan claims in his blog's header that he is "exploring the options for mutual respect," see if you agree ...

Note: Michael Donovan's "Inclusion" blog draws its inspiration from another local blog dedicated to harassing the Villas, the Bernie O'Hare/Dave Najarian co-created "Troll Parade" blog.

There goes this darn LVS blog again, "bashing Democrats" (via exposing them as "civil" phonies).

As repulsive as the Republican liars are, it is especially frightening to watch Democrats like Donovan (a guy I voted for) not just remain silent about, but actually enable and legitimize O'Hare's brand of evil. Democrats who are true to their beliefs about open and honest govt. should be condemning lying snakes like O'Hare. But they don't. Is it b/c they don't want to lose an opportunity to be on a stage where they can bloviate and show off? It seems that they care more about themselves than their constituents.

Dems have always been really bad at getting the message out. But the Repubs, on the other hand, repeat their talking points and lies in a way that people start to believe their total BS. And majority of media does NO fact checking. Dems tend to pussyfoot around the issues and get bogged down with minutiae. At our meeting with Rick Daugherty I got the feeling he wasn't really listening, even though we were thoughtful, considerate, and Bill did an excellent job of communicating our position. Rick communicated to us that he had more important things to do.

Congrats on the Mayfair gig! The new time slot sounds even better. I'm sure you'll have a ton of people show up on a Sunday afternoon.

Bill -

Ask Rick if you can address the group via speakerphone at an upcoming meeting.

Give him every opportunity to do the right thing.

Bill Villa said...

Jess, Glenn ("I'll never admit I'm wrong") Kranzley rejected 239 polite requests from me for a "Welcome Mat" meeting w/ The Morning Call Editorial Board (the "newspaper" has since discontinued its "Welcome Mat" open-door policy).

Something tells me Rick ("I love Jim Martin") Daugherty could cruise past Pappy Kranzley's record, effortlessly.

The Dems won't be getting any more meeting requests from me. I'll use my time instead finding and funding a Democratic candidate to oppose Jim Martin and getting Donovan, Schlossberg, Cunning-Ham, and Daugherty defeated in their next elections.

Bill Villa said...

Thanks, 3:51. The Villas haven't played live since a July '07 gig at Croc Rock w/ The Daddy Licks Band and it feels really good rehearsing regularly and getting musically sharp again.

Be advised though, Team O'Hare is probably hard at work trying to dupe Mayfair into excluding The Villas from the festival, like how they duped Rick Daugherty & the Dems. But not to worry, if we don't play Mayfair, we'll be resuming our live performances somewhere else soon.
