Crooked and incompetent Lehigh County DA Jim Martin has not faced a political challenger at the polls since 1999.
Martin, a Republican, ran unopposed in 2003, and again in 2007.

Villas, I'm hearing from an anonymous source that this is former magistrate and now big shot Judge Michelle Varricchio's way of evening up the score w/ Martin, regarding Martin's Mandate to Magistrate Michelle that she act as Bob LaBarre's "travel agent" back in 2006.
What goes around comes around. Oh well.

Typical Jim Martin, creating a controversy so he can be at the center of it, like in the Shiatsu Sex Case.
It's time for Jim Martin to retire ... (hiccup) permanently.
Martin's got plenty of judges in his sweaty back pocket though, like Judge Edward D. Reibman who covered Martin's and St. Luke's colluding asses in the Charles Cullen case.
Judge Reibman is up for retention in November.

Beating Jim Martin to a staggering pulp at the polls in 2011 will involve playing as dirty as Jim does-- hitting below the belt, after the bell, behind the head when the ref's not looking, putting irritants on your boxing gloves so Jimbo gets blinded, etc., etc.
i.e., the equivalent of moving a guilty plea hearing and strategically not telling the victim's family.
