2009 Year in Review

January 1, 2010 marks the 2-year anniversary of Pennsylvania's Most Influential Political Blog in Liberal Influence most weeks, us, Lehigh Valley Somebody.

If you're a regular reader in our obstructionist, GOPee-dominated local blogosphere, you know that LVS is the only liberal political blog in the Lehigh Valley and this fact either delights you or has you rolling around on the floor and foaming at the mouth.

2009 was business as usual for LVS and our business is SPEAKING TRUTH TO POWER, and yelling it, really, whether you wanna hear it or not-- because somebody's gotta yell the truth until the majority hears it and does something about it at the ballot box or the back door.

Our humble efforts garnered a small token of justice in '09, and a stunning, "against all odds" victory, but we also got blatantly screwed in court, too. We trust the shameful "Wind Gap" mockery of justice that was perpetrated on us in May 2009 will be reversed on appeal by the Northampton County Court of Common Pleas in January 2010. If not, we'll be appealing next to the Pennsylvania Superior Court. Just sayin'.

It was a bad year for bad guys at LVS.

We caught crooked and incompetent Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin repeatedly (hiccup) stumble-bumming and screwing up in plain sight of our enabling "Watchdog" (wink wink) local media--

... but looking on the bright side Glenn Kranzley got fired.

In 2009, LVS exposed The Ugly Truth about evil sadist Bernie O'Hare ...

... and we posed the excellent questions Why is Bernie O'Hare Defiling Sheena Villa? And What's it to you? And we made great strides in opening people's eyes to crooked cronyism, and allied evil, despite outrageous and futile attempts to shut us up.

But sadly, as we commence 2010, there are still far too many O'Hare-Duped Dunces like Tony Iannelli out there for our taste, so know that we're working diligently to rectify all these situations. Some (nearly) take care of themselves.

In '09, LVS helped elect a cool new President and reelect a great Mayor.

Our New York Yankees won the World Series for the 27th time ... and in 6 games, precisely as we predicted they would.

We lost a bandmate and pal in 2009.

And we proudly brought you our uniquely LVS brand of liberalism on local and national issues and the arts and education-- a point of view you just don't find anywhere else in our NeoCon Local Blah-Gas-Smear.

Here's a small sampling of our Best Of 2009, humbly restricting ourselves to just one (1) post pick per month which was really difficult:

September 2009 > Meet The New Boss

Thanks for reading Lehigh Valley Somebody, everybody, let's all have a Happy New Year!

Yes, that was a popular post, a perennial, really, good to know that folks are still enjoying it. I really liked this post from April 2009 but it didn't make the final cut either ...

Villas, awesome post in a year of awesome posts. Keep up the excellent work and we all wish you continued explosive (not a threat) courtroom victories in 2010 and beyond.

Thank you Mr. Villa, for bringing your concerns and love for Allentown to the attention of the public. I think it would be fair to guess that you and I come from very different political perspectives, and yet share not all, but very many concerns about the way your being treated. I no longer live in Allentown, but I have for over 50 years. I will be at your appeal trial in January.

I'd like to know what "back door" you found unlocked that enabled you to prevail against a double-dealer and a deck so obviously stacked against you w/ (incredibly) the colluding assistance of the PA State Attorney General Tom Corbett. I mean sure, you were innocent, but how did you avoid getting hit by the train that was intended to railroad you?

Bill Villa said...

I believe there were 2 "back doors" found unlocked by my sharp lawyer.

First one was in Slatington PA where District Justice (for now) Rod Beck thought he could crony-cozily sit on Lynn Township boards (where Township Supervisor Dave Najarian does the appointing) w/ out the good guys noticing. Oopsie. We noticed.

Second unlocked back door, I believe, was the presiding Judge, Robert Halal. Although we're sure Halal was "picking up his cues" (sent by Martin) to find me guilty (that's what a Magistrate is um compelled to do, when he or she receives a case that's been investigated and approved by the State Attorney General's office for cripes sake), I believe Halal couldn't bring himself to do it, #1 because of the pusillanimous ludicrousness of attorney (for now) Dave Najarian's totally bogus complaint which was expertly demonstrated by my sharp lawyer and (lucky us) #2 ... the buffoonish presence of blog troll/turd Chris Casey at the hearing visibly provoking me. I believe Judge Halal could see that I was not only innocent but that I was an innocent victim of cyber bullies Dave Najarian, Mike Molovinsky, Chris Casey, and Bernie O'Hare. We hope O'Hare "sends in the clowns" to "support" him on January 6th in NorCo.

West End Carol said...

Don't forget "RS"

Bill Villa said...

Oh we haven't (not a threat).

Consigliere said...

Bill, how does Mike Molovinsky figure in here, legally. Was Gladys referenced during Najarion's "trial?"

Bill Villa said...

Yes. Attorney (for now) Dave Najarian recklessly included a blog post from Mike Molovinsky's blog in his private "criminal" (wink wink) complaint against me. Najarian tried using it as evidence of my "harassment" of him; why he's on medication; and why his daughters are having nightmares. He must have counted on the Judge never reading the post from Molovinsky's blog because there's absolutely nothing in there even remotely whiffing of "harassment" ... unless you wanna consider the cyber bullying gang-up being perpetrated on me by Molovinsky, Najarian, and O'Hare. But so anyways now we have Molovinsky on board for future litigation.

Post from Molovinsky's blog (this isn't the post Najarian used, it's just my favorite MM post :)

Great post, and I just LOVE that picture of the 2 dogs!!

Bill Villa said...

Thanks, some people are asking which dog (big or little) is the one meant to represent LVS :) and is the little dog Jim Martin.

To be clear, the little dog saying "fuck you" to the big dog is us, and the "big dog" is meant to represent the crony crooked alliance that includes dogs like Jim Martin, John Morganelli, Rod Beck, Adrianne L. Masut, The Morning Call "newspaper," attack dog Local Bloggers, Ron Angle, and PA State Attorney General Tom Corbett.

WORTH REPEATING TO THE BIG DOG DEPARTMENT

"Fuck you."

Villas, CONGRATULATIONS for starting out the New Year right where you left off as the #1 Most Influential Political Blog in The Lehigh Valley, #3 State-Wide!

As you may know, the all-important Average Influence measure tracks each blog over the last twelve weeks in a rolling average, producing a more stable measure of influence that reflects a blog's longer-term impact on the blogospheric conversation than does the single week results which can be influenced by a few really good or really controversial posts or (sadly) via "gaming."

FYI, Lehigh Valley blogs that #1 Lehigh Valley Somebody is BNN-Ranked higher than (in "Average Influence") include .. well .. ALL OF THEM!

#1 LVS is BNN-Ranked higher than ...

* Capitol Ideas
* Lehigh Valley Ramblings
* Molovinsky Always On Allentown (Not Rated)
* Blogging w/ Bill White (Not Rated)
* Lehigh Valley Political Blobs (Not Rated)
* LVCI (Not Rated, plus, sadly, 0 Comments)
* Inclusion by Michael Donivan (Not Rated)
* Northern Lehigh Valley Logic (Not Rated)

... to name just a few of the lesser blogs.

Again, KUDOS!

Thanks guys for the entertaining and sometimes disturbing stories and facts. Keep it coming in the new year and duck the punches, I know you guys will your tougher than most and always speak your minds. I say get a sponsor your own web server and take on some advertising! You guys may very well decide the poltical outcome on the local level as your readership grows. Have a happy and healthy new year and thanks again.

Bill Villa said...

Thank you, Tom, for the very kind (and very astute) words. We like to think that the thousands of SiteMeter(R) visits we get daily are from fellow liberals as smart (and as good looking) as you are! And we LOVE your idea about LVS getting SPONSORS. That's a great idea! And some naturals come to mind, for example, how about this company ...

yes, we heard (thanks everybody), but unfortunately you can't get credit for standing up to evil in counter comments at the Team O'Hare blogs as they all just tell their "reader" that the dissenting comments are being posted by yours truly moi. They wish. So desperate, and transparent they are. Ah well. So anyways, thanks again and Happy New Year ...

My Take...

Here's a suggested sponsor product (endorsed by Team O'Hare, Jim Martin, Tom Corbett, and The Morning Call) for bad little truth-telling pooches like you Villas :) Happy New Year, Villas, and keep yelling the truth, people are listening.

Here's my excellent question: why are local law enforcement people (D.A. James Martin, D.A. John Morganelli, D.J. Adrian Masut, D..J. Rob Beck, state A.G. TOM CORBETT, Jesus!) and local news outlets (the Call, WFMZ/Business Matters, Express Times) AND even some politicians (Donovan, Cunningham, Stoffa, Panto) allied with O'Hare who was disbarred for sabotaging his own black client's civil rights litigation?! And screwing a widow out of $19 million dollars?! And who threatened to do the same thing to Sheena Villa. Why are these same people siding AGAINST a law abiding and civic minded family (the Villas) who also voluteer their time for their community...and who tragically lost a daughter (Sheena Marie) who will always be beloved by everyone who knew her? Is all this b/c Bill called Dave Najarian a pussy? Or b/c Bill "distracts" people from neocon blog topics? I don't get this angry mob chasing the Villas thing at all, it's totally insane.
